How ZIM Chemistry Educare collects, uses and protects information about our students and their guardians.
Who we are
ZIM Chemistry Educare (“we”, “us”) is a chemistry coaching centre that runs offline batches at our centre and online courses through this website, zimchemistry.com. We are responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
- Account details: your mobile number (used to sign in with a one-time code), or your name and email address if you sign in with Google.
- Student details: name, class, exam year, group, board, school, gender, date of birth, address, email and a photo for the ID card.
- Guardian details: the names, mobile numbers and occupations of a parent or guardian, and which of them is the main contact.
- Documents you or your guardian give us, such as a birth certificate or marksheet.
- Study records: batches and courses, attendance (including scans of your ID card at the door), exam answers, OMR sheet images, marks and results.
- Payments: fees agreed, amounts paid or refunded, the method (cash, bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank or card) and the transaction reference. We do not collect card numbers or mobile-wallet PINs.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie, your IP address (to limit repeated code requests) and basic server logs.
Why we use it
- To admit you, issue your student ID and ID card, and manage your batches, courses and fees.
- To take attendance and run exams, and to share results and progress with you and your guardian.
- To send SMS messages and automated voice calls to you or your main contact: sign-in codes, absence alerts, exam results, fee reminders and centre announcements.
- To keep the website and your account secure and to prevent misuse.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the centre, and only for that purpose:
- SMS provider (BulkSMSBD) to deliver text messages.
- Voice-call provider, when automated calls are switched on, to deliver calls to the main contact.
- Hosting and storage (Vercel and Neon), which run this website and store its database and files on servers in Singapore.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How we protect it
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Student photos, documents and scanned sheets are kept in private storage and are shown only to centre staff through short-lived links. Staff accounts are limited to the people who need them, and money totals and reports are restricted to administrators.
How long we keep it
We keep student records while you study with us and afterwards so we can confirm results and issue receipts. Payment records are kept as financial records. When a student leaves, their record is archived rather than shown in active lists. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need, unless we must keep it, for example receipts.
Students under 18
Most of our students are under 18. We collect a parent or guardian’s contact details so that they stay informed, and we expect a guardian to agree to admission. A guardian may contact us about their child’s information at any time.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can see and update most of your details in your profile. To correct details you cannot edit there, to get a copy of your information, to stop non-essential messages or to ask for deletion, contact us:
